80 Point Inspection

Following are the elements of our 80-point Inspection procedure. This procedure helps ensure that your Palmer Leasing equipment has been inspected and when required repaired to our exacting standards.

LIGHTS & REFLECTORS LANDING GEAR
  1. Tail
  2. Marker
  3. Turn Signals
  4. Seven-pin connector receptacle
  5. Light cord receptacles
  6. Wiring junction boxes
  7. Reflective Tape
  8. Check to see all lighting devices and reflectors required by Section 393.11 are in place and operational (See Section 393.11)
  1. Landing legs
  2. Gear
  3. Sand Shoes
  4. Braces
  5. Wing Plates
  6. Crank Handle & Holder
  7. Operation (Grease if needed)
BRAKE SYSTEM SUSPENSION
  1. Glad-hands
  2. Service
  3. Parking
  4. Drums
  5. Hose
  6. Tubing
  7. Shoes (All brake shoes must be free of cracks, oil contamination, and at least 1/4″ lining.
  8. Chambers
  9. Valves
  10. Tanks
  11. Drain air tanks
  12. Tank mounting
  13. Check adjuster travel with air applied (See Brake Adjustment Page for DOT allowable guidelines)
  14. Anti Lock System
  15. Grease S-Cam bushings and slack adjusters for each wheel.
  16. Adjust all brakes
  1. Leaf Springs
  2. Spring hangers (cracked)
  3. U-Bolts (loose or worn, torque if needed)
  4. Torque arms (loose or worn)
  5. Radius rods
  6. Bushings
  7. Saddles (loose or worn)
  8. Equalizers (bushings)
  9. Air bags
  10. Air bag leveling valves
TIRES BODY
  1. Condition (Side wall damage, Cuts, Flat Spots,
    Bulges, Irregular Wear)
  2. Inflation
  3. Valve Caps
  4. Tread wear (minimum 2/32″ depth)
  5. Matching partner tire height and tread pattern
  1. Coupler Plate & King Pin
  2. ICC bumper
  3. Mud Flaps & Brackets
  4. Doors
    1. Handles
    2. Hinges
    3. Hold backs
  5. Floor
  6. Roof
  7. Roof bows
  8. Interior walls
  9. E-track, Log Posts
  10. Deodorize Interior
  11. Sweep Clean Interior
  12. Wash Exterior
  13. Paint
  14. Body & Door
  15. Rims
WHEELS & RIMS REGISTRATION & INSPECTION
  1. Wheel seals
  2. Cracked spokes, hubs
  3. Lug nuts (Torque if loose)
  4. Check and fill hub caps (oil, grease)
  5. Replace leaking hub caps
  6. Check hub odometer
  1. Registration & License Plate
  2. FOID inspection decal
  3. ID decals
  4. Safety Decals
FRAME
  1. Cross Members
  2. Side rails
  3. Sub Frames
  4. Seven-pin connector receptacle
  5. Spare tire carrier
