Every Palmer Leasing trailer is backed by more than six decades of local, family-owned service and prepared to meet our exacting standards.

Before equipment is rented or leased, our team completes a comprehensive 80-point inspection covering critical components such as the brakes, tires, wheels, suspension, landing gear, lighting, frame, body, doors, flooring, safety decals, and registration.

We repair, clean, and service each trailer as needed so you receive dependable equipment that is ready to work—supported by a responsive local team committed to making the rental process straightforward.

Yearly FOID inspections (customer is responsible for bringing equipment to Palmer for inspection)

All Routine Maintenance, including:

    • Defective Parts
    •  
  •  Brakes
    • Worn brake parts
    • Defective brake parts
    •  
  •  Tires
    • Tires with 2/32″ tread depth
    • Failed tires
  • Lubrication Maintenance
    • Check and maintain proper axle oil/grease level

  • Normal Wear and Tear

  • License and titling

You are responsible for the following while the equipment is in your hands: 

Daily maintenance; inspect the equipment as if it were your own, following the DOT inspection regulations

Lights

  • Replace burned out bulbs
  • Replace broken or lost lights, lenses, light assemblies and reflectors

Brakes & Air Brakes

  • Check brake adjustment and adjust as needed
  • Check braking system for wear including hoses, tanks and brake shoes
  • Notify Palmer Leasing if any brake parts need replacement

Tires

  • Tire damage or blowouts due to road hazard curbing, improper tire pressure or other
  • Maintaining proper tire pressure (85 PSI for bias tires, 100 PSI for radial tires)
  • Flat tires and run flats

Check and maintain proper axle oil/grease level

Damages to equipment during the lease

Lease payments until damaged equipment is returned to ready/leasable condition

Scheduling and bringing equipment to Palmer Leasing for regular maintenance or required repairs
